Description

This Astrobin Debut Object, often abbreviated H 2-8, is a planetary nebula located in the constellation of Ophiuchus at a declination of -22 degrees.  Magnitude and distance information are not available for this small obscure object.

This object is only about 10 arc-seconds across, a bit smaller than the current apparent size of the planet Mercury in our sky.

This is an odd structure for a PN.  It looks a bit like the Headphones Nebula (Jones-Emberson 1) to me, although with a much fainter structure and one that is more balanced between Ha and OIII signal.
